I've been trying for ages to shoot a goldfinch in the wild and not at a feeder. It finally happened one July day as I walked with the cats in the back field. The finches, warblers and sparrows were keeping a close eye on all of us. This isn't a good shot, but it's the best so far that I have. I'm learning more about their behavior so that next summer I should be more successful.

A shot that captures what you want is a good shot even if the resolution and composition isn't as good as you'd like. Congrats!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Mike. So how do the big time professionals get all those great shots? I want to know. (The answer is probably thousands of dollars of big lenses!)
