Wasp on Japanese Knotweed
Fallopia japonicaJapanese knotweed (also called Mexican bamboo) is extremely invasive. Yet it seems to be valued in New Hampshire. I have even seen trimmed hedges of it. Insects (and cats) love this plant. It grows tall in dense thickets. The flowers attract all types of bees and insects. My cats love to nap and hunt underneath it.
