I no longer even try to identify which wild cherry this is. And I always forget in the summer to see the fruit, so I never get it right. These trees grow all over in the woods. Bears love them.

Wild Cherry
In May all of the woods are brightened with wild cherry trees in bloom. They were still blooming in the middle of this week but the blossoms are suddenly gone. In the fall the cherries attract bears who will gorge on them to prepare for hibernation. When clicked, these photos will open, full size, in a new window.Technorati Tags: wild cherry trees
