Arisaema triphyllum

This was growing by the brook that goes through the back yard. There were others, too, but they were not blooming this day. Unfortunately, we had too much rain, the book overflowed its banks, and all the jack-in-the-pulpit was washed away. Now I won't be able to documents its life cycle.

Not Identified

Found in the Green Mountain National Forest today, near Texas Falls on Rt. 125, Hancock, VT. I have no idea what this plant is.

UPDATE: Ruth identified this for me in comments: the fruit of Arisaema triphyllum (Jack-in-the-Pulpit, Bog onion, Brown dragon, Indian turnip, Wake robin or Wild turnip). Thank you.
