Amy & Matt Go Snowshoeing

Deep in the woods, from left to right: Scout, Sophie and daughter Amelia. The dogs are on harness as Amy snowshoes. Matt took the photo. Sadly, I was at school. They went to Northwoods (their blog is here) in East Charleston for the day. Sophie did not kill a thing.

Picking Blueberries

Blueberry Ridge is a five acre, five thousand bush organic blueberry farm in North Troy.

Peanut, the Blueberry Ridge blueberry-loving blue-eyed Lab cross dog.

We picked, cleaned and froze 18.5 lbs (8.4 kg) of berries for the winter.

Western view: Jay Peak (the pointy peak almost in the middle) (hdr image)

Northwest view: South Bay of Lake Memphremagog in the midground. Lake Memphremagog is behind that (it looks like a blue circle). Owl's Head Mountain in Québec is the highest peak on the side of the lake. (hdr image)

City Daily Photo Theme Day: No Swimming, Campfires or Camping at May Pond

May Pond, directly over the ridge from my house, is the source of water for the Village of Barton. I am in Barton Town, so I have a well. The only NO signs I could think of are here at the pond. Below is another NO sign at the pond: No invasive species are to be transported into the pond or you are subject to a fine of up to $1,000. While Grandson Wingnut and I were there (with Scout the Dog), I took other photos to show you the area.

Lilly pads on a quiet section of the pond. Horrible glare.

A brown damselfly. I had no time to identify these damsel and dragon flies and butterflies. I will work on the identifications this week and update the post.
