Lens Day: Turbulent

This view of Mount Kearsarge in Wilmot, New Hampshire was taken this morning from a friend's home. The turbulent clouds are still here from that low pressure system. There were hundreds of thousands of power outages and many people still don't have electricity or phone service. Some schools will be closed for the fourth day tomorrow. The tower that you see on top of Kearsarge was damaged in the storm. It is an important relay station for emergency services, cell phones, cable television and land phone services.

Thank you for visiting.

Echo Hill Farm, East Craftsbury, Vermont
Vermont Maple Weekend Sugarhouse Open House

The Sugar House

The Evaporator
The syrup had frozen, which shouldn't happen.
Sugaring so far this season has been slow because of the cold days and nights.
Sap has not yet begun to run fully: it starts and stops.
