SkyWatch Friday 4.52: Burton Hill Cell Tower

Verizon cell tower on Burton Hill Road

After years of conroversy and hearings, a cell tower was finally placed here on the silo on Burton Hill Road.  My recollection of the hearings is that Verizon was very sensitive to the concerns of Barton citizens and placed it here with the consent of everyone. I read in the paper that AT&T wants to raise the height on the tower on Barton Mountain behind us. I expect there will be a lot of talking — if not hollering — about that. I only hope that AT&T is as sensitive as Verizon.
