Corylus cornuta var. cornuta
We found a grove of Eastern Beaked Hazel bushes in the forest behind the house. They were growing nuts (which we forgot to harvest when they were grown). The photo above shows the nuts forming inside the husk. I hope the bears enjoyed them!
