Solidago altissima
Goldenrod is one of my favorite wildflowers. There are several kinds and I am now interested in photographing each species. Tall goldenrod has the plume like stalk that I love. The stem is green and the leaves are slender and pointed. It has thousands of tiny flowers on its branches.
