A view of Crystal Lake in Barton, Vermont during the Memorial Day service. I find the lake calming and a centering influence. I'm fortunate that it is just down the road. The smokey haze was from the Quebec forest fires that were burning. That was a smoky weekend here in northern Vermont. The smoke created a ethereal beauty for me.

Marina is right. I too can almost hear the water gently lapping up on the shoreline. A closer look reviewed a house on the shore as well. Lovely and yes, peaceful.
