As I drove through the Coventry Marshes last weekend, I came across this skull prominently placed on a boulder at a pullout for the Barton River. I think it is a deer skull but I'm not sure. If you know, drop me a comment! When clicked, these photos will open, full size, in a new window.
Thank you for visiting!
How cool. I love skull and bones and stuff like that. And to find it in a cemetary just adds to the whole thing. MB
ReplyDeleteSkulls bring big money. Not always the ones you find but those made by people. A whole new process enables one man, I remember, to make buffalo skulls with horns. He sells them all over the world.
ReplyDeleteI wonder what happened to the owner of this skull?
It certainly makes an interesting subject matter..
ReplyDeleteThis is certainly an Odd Shot feature.
ReplyDeleteVisit my Odd shot also my Bridge Builders.
Awesome! I've always been a skull fan.
ReplyDeleteFirst and probably last skull I'll se today. Very odd.
ReplyDeleteYikes i think this is a odd shot more so that it is sitting on the boulder
ReplyDeleteInteresting and quite artistic the first photo.
ReplyDeleteNow, that is an interesting oddity!
ReplyDeleteOne was enough...uuuhhh
ReplyDeleteBut I made just the same 'mistake' with the today's Odd SHot - put up more than one photo about the same thing ;)
Interesting shot for todqy's meme. I think someone found it, didn't want it but thought others might like to see it so placed it on rock. No idea what it was from.
ReplyDeleteOdd indeed. I guess its a sheep alright.
ReplyDeleteI can't tell you what the critter was but I do also find it odd that it was sitting there on the rock.
ReplyDeleteWonder what happened to the other half. Yes, probably a deer...poor dear.
ReplyDeleteHis dentist certainly would be proud those choppers have stood the test of time and the marsh!
ReplyDeleteThat IS odd .. I would guess you dont normally see skulls lying about ... :-Daryl
