First Butterfly
This was taken on a dirt road over one week ago with the Kodak. A beautiful lavender butterfly was flitting about. It is wonderfully camouflaged when it landed on the road. I just couldn't catch it with open wings to show you the color. I can't get an identification of the species. When clicked, this photo will open, full size, in a new window.

You are right about how well camouflaged it is.. I tried to get a shot off a small blue butterfly this morning in the back garden.. just about to take the shot a off it went..
ReplyDeleteIt's almost invisible!
ReplyDeleteexcellent, well done.
ReplyDeleteWithout the shadow showing at first, it just looked like a rock or pieve of bark. Hopefully, you will get a photo of it spread wings!
