Green Up Day Blooms

Trout Lily (Dogtooth Violet)
Erythronium americanum

Bluets
Hedyotis caerulea

I captured these flowers during our school's Green Up Day activity. Our designated area was the village trail through plowed fields, woods and bogs. For more information on Vermont's Green Up Day, click here. When clicked, these photos will open, full size, in a new window.

I especially love the bluets.I love blue flowers and I love flowers that have only four petals. They seem so dainty and symmetrical to me.
