Mare's Tails

These photographs were taken April 25. This was two days before a three day snowstorm that brought 19 inches of snow to our part of town. It was a miserable week that had begun with a perfect Sunday with a perfect sky. John and I explored the beaver bog and Crystal Lake where we saw a partridge. Mare's tails are what cirrus clouds are called. Cirrus clouds are the high, wispy clouds that proceed a storm.
