Oh, Bravo! That is such an "elusive" photo, indeed, and your haiku is just awesome... its cool you made the lens capture the moth, when it "alights to warm"..
ReplyDeletewow..that is terrific picture and haiku! brilliant indeed!
ReplyDeleteYou worked hard and shot fast from what I could see on your Flicker page. There were several shots with this being THE ONE for your efforts.
ReplyDeleteWe stayed at a B&B on/near Lake Sunapee a few years back in October. I do not remember this hiking trail.
I hope the house cost extra since you had to pay just to hike while the house was closed.
..
I think Blogger must be playing games today! I have refreshed this page 3 times, but no "elusive" photo appears! I imagine it is beautiful by the sound of the comments!
ReplyDeleteGreat picture and haiku. The use of the word 'geometer' was very clever and descriptive.
ReplyDeleteWhat a shot! You mated these well ... !
ReplyDeletean elusive moth, at last you were able to capture it at its best pose, he he he...:)
ReplyDeleteNice shot and haiku. I also enjoy photography and know how hard it is to get that "perfect" shot. Well done.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful words and photo! I love all the texture in your picture...it's gorgeous.

ReplyDeleteGorgeous photo of the moth and your words balance it so well.
ReplyDeleteI've been snooping around your blog since I saw that you are from NH. I'm from up the road an hour or two from you on the other side of Mt. Washington.
I've just barely stuck my big toe into the photography pond and have so much to learn. I've been contributing to SkyWatch Friday but little else.
I'll be back to poke some more!
Excellent haiku and great lens shot...you captured both very well.
ReplyDeletebeautiful capture - photo and words
