This is probably the 2nd most poisonous fungus for humans. John and I have identified 21 species of mushrooms from our Butterfield Pond hike. It has taken two months to identify and tag all of the photos. Over the next few days I will be featuring these photographs. This destroying angel mushroom is a lovely, pure white in the forest. But don't touch! I've learned over the years to not touch much in the forest because of toxins — whether caterpillars, mushrooms or plants.
