Eastern Kingbird

Tyrannus tyrannus

Eastern Kingbirds are back. I enjoy watching them catch insects on the fly over the beaver bog and front door yard. Here, one rests on a fence post near the road. Taken with optical zoom on my Kodak. The camera is showing its age with lens distortion on the zoom.

    Oh, beautiful bird! We have king birds, but they are quite different from yours.
