One Single Impression: Stranded

Earth and water fuse
As frost leaves the ground —
Cars sunk in mud are stranded

Mud season has started. This is a view of a portion of my driveway late this morning. If you visited earlier, I had a different photo (same poem). This is more appropriate.

  1. Andrée, the link you left on OSI returned an error message...
Good think you left the link at Teri's otherwise I would have missed this. It seems that water and earth conspire against the cars. Which they really should if they know what's good for them.

  3. The earth and water are quite a team, especially during the thaw! I hope this is not a page from your life, Andree, and that your car is above ground! This is a wonderful piece.

  9. Your ku really sinks in here!

There is an abundance of good ole clean mud everywhere in the northeast.

My husbands old car has been parked off the driveway for over five years. It sinks deeper into the mud every spring! For some reason, he will just not let it go!

I may get the courage and rescue it soon.

    Hugs and blessings,
