Snow Squall

You can't see beyond my barn during this sudden, violent snow squall on Saturday. Squalls can dump snow at a rate of two to three inches (5 cm - 7..6 cm) an hour. High winds often create whiteouts. I felt very content and cozy during this squall because I was home safe and sound. If you wish, you can view all my photos of this squall at my Snow Squall album at my dot mac gallery.

When clicked, this photo will open, full size, in a new window.

  1. Wow, what a snow! :)
I'm in Texas and we don't get a lot of that here. BTW, I found your blog on Tammy's.
    Have a nice day! :)

  2. Nice snow. I like to be indoors looking out when it snows like this. And afterwards I don't like to get out in it. I guess it is age related.

  3. I moved away from the snowfields back in the 60's -- you shot brings a lot of nostalgia back.
