Road Work Ahead
Barton Mountain has three humps: big, medium (in the middle) and small. The perspective of this photo is deceptive because the big hump is on the right in real life. Here, it looks like it is on the left.
From where we live, the mountain does not look like a mountain. But that is because we are only about 800 feet (244 m) from the summit, which is at 2, 235 feet (681 m). The sign had to be put here by law because it is 500 feet from the paving that was going on on Route 16 in May.
